Faculty of Social Sciences

Social Sciences at Uganda Christian University began in 1997 as part of the Faculty of Education, Arts and Sciences. It has since grown into a fully-fledged faculty with an array of courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. It is currently one of the largest faculties at UCU, with over 4,000 students.

GOAL
To produce a cohort of enlightened professionals and leaders who will do their work with professional dedication and integrity to address the social and economic needs of the country from a Christian perspective.

OBJECTIVES
♦  Provide high quality, holistic Social Science Education
♦ Equip students with Social Science knowledge, skills and attitudes and the capacity to apply them in service to society.
♦  Promote social research among students and staff.
♦  Reach out to communities in the vicinity of the University and beyond, offering service.
